Remote Modules

Remote modules represent expandable input slots for the Digital Recorders which can be mounted remotely and connected back to the main Digital Recorder unit using the RS485 ports.  These remote modules will give customers the ability to add inputs to the Digital Recorder.

To connect the remote module back to the main Digital Recorder unit, the “Remote RS485” on the satellite box must be wired into the “RS485 Remote” on the main unit.  24VDC is supplied from the “RS485 Remote” connector on the main module or can be supplied from a different source.
